Ramblings about life . . .

What I share about my life is simply to help reinforce the understanding that it is possible to live with love and laughter, even with tough times.

Life is what we make of it, no matter how harrowing. We accept and embody this with-in ourselves, thereby allowing the energy to manifest outwardly in our reality.

It starts with each one of us as an individual to form the collective consciousness.

Be the dream.

We honour the light and the life within you.

I upload other bloggers' posts and then delete after a month. This is my journey and others help me understand where I am, until they become irrelevant (a few posts excepted).

Looking back: 2007 to 2016

It's been a time of reminiscing, going back over the last 9 years to see how far we've come.

We arrived in the UK in 1998 with nothing but four suitcases of clothes and toys having left everything behind (including debt) to start afresh. We also had very little money, but as money was freely abundant in the forms of loans without security and we went crazy...as you do coming from a closed society that had been in isolation due to sanctions.

Serious overhaul

Towards the end of last week, Greg started to develop a cold.

Manifesting something different

I'd accepted a role scoring and reporting on sleep studies at a hospital in Yorkshire two days a week from next week.

Well looked after

Immigration New Zealand in London have been very patient and understanding of my unlimited amount of questions and worries.

The scared person behind the obnoxious behaviour

Yesterday at work, a patient whose CPAP trial I had done the previous week, walked in demanding to be seen. He was extremely aggressive and abusive to the frontline staff who tried to help him.

I'm alright...I think

So...last week was a bit of a doozy when it came to stress.

The unfolding drama

Yesterday there was some unfolding drama behind us.

As you can see from the picture above, the fire in the community centre (which is empty and earmarked for demolition) was very close to our house (where the blue arrow is).

Laughter...always the best medicine

We've been laughing a lot lately.

While lying together Sunday night, just generally talking, Greg said something while I was talking. I thought I heard "pushion".

Christmas Full Moon

So this is why I needed to remain in the UK instead of jetting off to be in Oz as we'd planned.

Painful manifestation of my emotions

I felt out of sorts on the flight out to Cape Town. Nothing I could put my finger on, but assumed it was just part of the excitement about seeing everyone.

I didn't feel much like eating, so didn't, cos as you probably know, airline food is nothing to get excited about.

Changes of great magnitude

Listening to Jim Self's latest webinar, and a three hour session of Yoga Nidra, has helped me to become a little more centred.

Working from the inside

I know there is a perception that in order to create change one must stand on the outside and shout at the giant.

I passed!

Hey hey hey...I passed, I passed, I passed.

Despite knowing (a deep seated knowing that this was gonna happen), there was still a little voice of doubt that popped up. Every day I'd get visions of passing that cancelled out the doubt.

The juicy lubrication of love

Picture taken by Greg

In the days when I was channelling Lighted Loving, they kept advising that we should love ourselves.
Yeah man, I get it.

But on reflection these days...I didn't...really.

We never know what we have until it goes missing!!

To infection or not to infection

539358_388105354594510_97871735_n

It all started with Yoga Nidra on Thursday last week.

She asked us, as usual, to come up with a mantra that we’d repeat three times during the course of the Nidra. Of course I was prepared - I'm always prepared - but in the throes of the Nidra, a different one popped into my mind.

I am a mentor.”

Eh? Where did that come from?

If I’d actually had a chance to make the decision, I’d never have gone with that. So, I tried to change it but it kept popping into my head, even while I was chanting another one.

Talk about persistent.

My body responded with a little resistance. I didn't go into my usual deeply lucid state. I kept wanting to move bringing me out of the relaxed state - which indicated to me that I'd rather not release the resistance.

Anyways, I didn’t think much of it for the rest of the day.

That evening as I took a perambulation (don’t you love that word) around the neighbourhood, was when I'd noticed that my kidney on the right hand side was hurting. I dismissed it - as I do. But again the persistence - that night was uncomfortable and difficult to sleep.

The following morning I had a whole day of clinical trials to get through from 8 – 5. I felt off throughout the whole day, but you just get on with it, don’t you? I was very careful about what I drank and ate that day hoping it would help. Frankly, Friday night was horrifically painful not only in the kidney but in the head too.

Our Psychic Memory-filled Hair

Yesterday I had the two stitches in my hair removed.

As I washed my hair today I thought about our hair. I recalled a blog I'd written in Portal to Love and Pleasure on 4 May 2011 called The Fascinating Truth About Our Hair. It seems from an experiment with Vietnam soldiers that our hair is a sort of antenna and if cut it, we lose our psychic abilities.

There are also sects that shave their hair so that as they clear beliefs and emotions the old memories stored in the hair are also cleared. I am sure that there is merits in both.

Sleep - parasomnias and other things

I attended the British Sleep Society's Spring meeting in Eastbourne a few days ago with my fellow Sleep Technicians.

We were referred to as ‘scientists’ and sat through a workshop on the logical steps needed to publish scientific research. Um...haha...not likely! But on reflection, I wondered...

Belly dancing

I recently started belly dancing classes.

Haha...who'd a guessed I'm so unco-ordinated?!

The sheer joy, camaraderie and happiness that emanates from the class is quite exhilarating. It, of course, boils down to the enthusiasm and zest of the teacher. You can see that she absolutely loves what she does. She constantly cheers us on whether we are doing well or not. Makes us feel good.

We have one wall that is mirrored and she coaxes and encourages us to watch ourselves and the movements we make. How many of us love staring at ourselves in the mirror? Haha...I don't but it is making me look at myself, warts and all! I am finding myself slowly accepting this, much of it being due to the shower of boosting words "you're all doing so well" " amazing how quickly you pick up things", etc. Gives me a good feeling inside, don't know about the others. Surprisingly, or not, it is this acceptance of me by her, that is allowing me to accept me. Reflections, eh?

Natural Lubrication

This company's products are amazing and something I highly recommend. They are all organic, natural and smell wonderful.

I have used both the water based and oil based. Prefer the oil based...
