Ramblings about life . . .

What I share about my life is simply to help reinforce the understanding that it is possible to live with love and laughter, even with tough times.

Life is what we make of it, no matter how harrowing. We accept and embody this with-in ourselves, thereby allowing the energy to manifest outwardly in our reality.

It starts with each one of us as an individual to form the collective consciousness.

Be the dream.

We honour the light and the life within you.

I upload other bloggers' posts and then delete after a month. This is my journey and others help me understand where I am, until they become irrelevant (a few posts excepted).

Looking back: 2007 to 2016

It's been a time of reminiscing, going back over the last 9 years to see how far we've come.

We arrived in the UK in 1998 with nothing but four suitcases of clothes and toys having left everything behind (including debt) to start afresh. We also had very little money, but as money was freely abundant in the forms of loans without security and we went crazy...as you do coming from a closed society that had been in isolation due to sanctions.

Holding open the gateway

We meditated together on Saturday morning.

I could see the thousands of “sails” between us becoming one big sail. The stitching invisible as each sail was added, everything off white, as though a blank canvas.

Hmm...too bad

So, this morning started well.

Greg: We shouldn't water the garden in the evening, cos it attracts the slugs.

Me: Yes, I know, which is why I normally water in the morning.

Stronger than before

This weekend has been a rather peaceful chilled one.

Mostly because of the rain and wind. I believe it is normal to have a lot of wind in the spring, but not normal to have so much rain.

We spent the afternoon in an intimate way.

Compromise

Relationships in all shapes and forms are being thrown into the spotlight these days.

Reckon it's got something to do with the lunar eclipse and all that other stuff that is so prevalent in September, forcing us, whether we want it or not, to take note of our inner prejudices and negativities. You know, those thoughts and feelings that are floating around creating havoc in our lives that we are unaware of...or maybe are aware of and couldn't be bothered to do something about.

Chippy choppy

It has been four years since the 2012 walk-in. I would love to say it is been a deliriously happy life we lead, but I can't. It has been decidedly choppy since then.

Little did I realise how much of an adjustment it would be for both of us. We're still going through it but so far we are in one piece, slightly battered, a little stronger and, dare I say it, wiser?

Pushing over the fake wall

My hubby lectured me yesterday about my attitude to emigrating. Said it was "weird" not to want to go, as it encompassed all the dreams we'd ever had. Everything we want rolled into one.

Laughter...always the best medicine

We've been laughing a lot lately.

While lying together Sunday night, just generally talking, Greg said something while I was talking. I thought I heard "pushion".

Christmas Full Moon

So this is why I needed to remain in the UK instead of jetting off to be in Oz as we'd planned.

A night of memories

What a great night of memories. A place of work in which many of the people have become like family to me.

The ability to "fog" things up

So, I go off at a tangent when I think I've figured out what is happening. But in reality it is just my mind putting everything in little boxes "believing" the outcomes.

Changes of great magnitude

Listening to Jim Self's latest webinar, and a three hour session of Yoga Nidra, has helped me to become a little more centred.

Plans? What plans?

I had the last of my vaccinations today, as have the cats.

Yuck. I don't like to think about the chemicals running around in both my body and that of the cats, so I won't.

Travels through life with entourage

Every time I hear the words, "You're so lucky",  I wonder how different my life would be if my choices were other than the ones I've made.

We are constantly making decisions, whether it is to try something new or to remain on the same well beaten path.

No more suits...the end of an era

Lol...how did that happen?

Today I have discovered that hubby has revamped his whole wardrobe. Where have I been?

He's off to a "knees-up" in London this evening with his previous work colleagues. I sort of did a double take when he came downstairs. What is he wearing?

Sadness and excitement

The deeper I delve into this "move" to the other side of the world, the greater the insights I have into the beliefs and emotions that lurk with-in. Things I thought I'd knocked on the head, that very obviously are still alive and doing extremely well.

Every second we are faced with decisions and each little decision very subtly changes how we go forward in life.

I still hold some misgivings about the move. Will I find what I really want in New Zealand? Will the job be everything I expect? Isn't it better to carry on where I am even though I feel I am stagnating? Maybe this is a "grass is always greener"? I do get very tempted by my comfortable life.

Lol...I don't know what weird things you're doing and the warm embrace of love

So...on the weekend we're driving when I remember that we need to buy milk. I mention this to Greg ending with "I used the last of the milk this morning".

He is quiet for a short while before asking, a strange tone to his voice, "What did you do with it?"
