Today is a far smoother day, the feeling of hopelessness and lethargy taking a back seat.
I started getting a sore throat yesterday from the bottleneck of unexpressed grief. I was so tired of the waves of sadness, the constant welling up of my eyes and the permanent lump in my throat. But as the throat was getting worse, I had to give in and cry some more.
After a good night's sleep, I feel great.
Greg has gone back to work and I am doing housework on turbo boost :-)
I've taken down the curtains that belong to the house, stored them away and put up our curtains from the UK. Mostly because last night as I lay in bed, I realised that we'd done nothing to brighten up or make the bedrooms as homely as they had been. We'd focused all our attention on the living area.
The walls, the curtains and the carpets are a very hardwearing extremely drab beige sort of colour.
The idea fired me up, but as I was too lethargic, I'd just imagined doing it.
I've also hauled out our lovely duvet covers to use as well as the throws.
The bedrooms are far smaller than our previous home, the colours dwarfing the rooms, but what the hell, it is bright and cheerful and what we need right now.
While I did this I played a medley of music, getting the energy moving...until Greg came home to do some business calls :-(
So I decided to write a post, bopping along as I listen with headphones on :-)
