Kuala Lampur Butterfly Park - "is a veritable secret paradise where butterflies actually dance nonchalantly in clumps of fern amidst scented beautiful flowers and flowering vines."
On our way back from Australia to the UK in 2014 we stopped over in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for five days.
One of the places we visited was the Butterfly Park.
We absolutely loved being here and could have spent days in this little park simply BEing. It is beautifully laid out, very lush and...oh my...the butterflies!
On entering the park you cannot see anything, so don't know what to expect, until you step out onto the viewing platform that looks out over the park. I don't know how many times as we walked around, we heard exclamations of delight from first time viewers. Waterfalls, ponds, winding paths and pagodas. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous haven of peace.
Greg and I were covered in butterflies whilst we explored the park. Before leaving, we had to check each other thoroughly just to make sure there weren't a few butterflies hidden in our clothing.
If ever you get to KL - this is certainly worth the visit.
