Boulders Beach -
"There are few places in the world where you can get this close to a
breeding colony of penguins, swim close to them in the sea and enjoy
their private sandy beach."
This place has changed so much since we left South Africa. When we used to go to this beach in the 80s and 90s there were no walkways or places you could not get to. We'd lay on the beach sunbathing amongst them or swim in the sea surrounded by penguins.
They have now restricted access by the public and made sure that the penguins are not disturbed, so you cannot walk wherever you want anymore. Even so, there is a lot to see.
But before we went there we stopped off at the Scratch Patch where you can scratch around for gemstones.
