Greg and I love travelling and exploring.
We are both are South African, but have been living in the UK for 17 years. We have found it a very central location.
I felt the need to document these travels – whether short day trips or epic holidays and encompasses Greg’s recent passion for photography, as well as my love of flora, our combined delight in fauna and the world around us…oh and of course…each other.
Our earliest travels were on a very tight budget, so much of our early holidays with two children in tow, were spent in tents, our faithful ‘old banger’ (with a cheerful backfire or two!) piled high always managing to get us where we needed to be. Despite the budget restrictions, we had fabulous times.
It all came about because of a necessity to overcome the homesickness we’d experienced. We’d returned to South Africa for two Christmas (1998/1999). We loved going back Home to see family and friends but living with one foot in each country was taking its toll and every holiday parting was filled with tears followed by a terrible homesickness for all of us.
But…we knew we had to be here, although weren’t sure why.
We decided to listen to the sage advice of a former South African who recommended that we not make any more trips back Home for at least five years as this would help us to cut the ties and settle properly.
And…the Universe supported us in this decision to let go of our old life by making sure that we did not have enough money to fork out for the exorbitant flight costs for the four of us.
We therefore turned our attention to Europe and camping holidays and opened the door to some amazing life changing experiences for which we are extremely grateful.
Through various synchronicities, our latest ventures have been in Australasia.
Anchoring and activating sacred energies (sacred union) are one of the underlying reasons for the drive to travel. We are not alone in this endeavour, which makes me very happy, otherwise I'd feel rather overwhelmed at the thought!
Places that (individually or as couple) we have visited/lived in during this incarnation are:
Africa - South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia, Morocco
United Kingdom - England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland
Europe - Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Turkey, Belgium, Iceland
Australasia - Korea, Australia, Malaysia

Most of the photos and posts are uploaded on my other blog, which I am slowly moving over to this blog.
